Our Deepest Fear: By Randy Giguere

Our Deepest Fear is one of those quotes that has more then one meaning to it. but there is the global meaning. and the global meaning is that we should all ways be ourselves when it comes to life. to day, in this society, we play small so that others around us feel better about themselves. the line that comes to my mind in the quote every time i think of this quote is this line: ¨our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure¨. this line comes to mind because it represents me in a lot of ways. for example i do not know how strong i am at school because I never put a lot of effort in to it. a image that comes to my head when i think of this line is a little boy that is trying out for hockey but he does not know if he is any good or not.i found that the quote was quote that every one should; not only read but understand what it means.

Are You Afraid Of Your Darkness Or Your Light? By: Tamaya Bivins

Goals are what we want in life. Unfortunaly, many goals turn into mere fantasys we dream about at night. Or during the day when we let our minds drift to another, better world. Why do our goals turn into fantasy? In the famous quote by Marianna Williamson it says: "It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us". This mean that, being's are afraid of realizing goals because it would mean stepping out of the norm. Meaning that the fear of being jugded by others stops the desire to accomplish our goals. Going after dreams is so uncommon that people are seen as brave and unique. Or they are seen as misfits or outcasts. People are afraid that once their goals are completed, others will treat them differently. Or that what they will have will not be enough. Not trying to accomplish goals won't help anybody. Holding back our potential won't help society move forward. Once the goals we have set for ourselfs have been accomplished, others will try to accomplish their own goals. One person can motivate a hundred others.

Everyone has fears. It's human to have fear in you. Some people have fear of heights, some its other things like spiders or dogs. The meaning of my quote " It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us " ritten by Marianne Williamson, and later made famous by Nelson Mandela. The meaning of this quote is that you should never stop being yourself. This quote means that it is our strengths and not our weakness that most frightens us. The first image that comes to my mind when I think of this quote is someone that gets more confidence, that talks more opon others just like someone that talks more in class. This image really represents my quote because it shows its meaning in the picture. Someone that has confidence is someone that is not afraid to be judged or to be called out name or to be laught at. " it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us ".

Why should we be scared of what people think about us, we shouldn't be.
Do what you like and do what you are good at, don't stop practicing your talents because you are scared of people judging you.
The quote our deepest fear means you should be who you are and not what people want you to be and if you be yourself people will notice and change, they will start being themselves.
Don't change something about you that you like just because someone told you to.
You are who you are and nobody can change that. The line that struck out the most to me was « it is our light, not our darkness that most
frightens us», it struck out the most to me because i find this very true.
It means that you are more scared of what you are good at than you are bad at because you are scared of people criticizing you.
I find that this is a really good quote because a lot of people can relate to it, a lot of people are scared to show what they are good at because they are scared of other people judging them.

Pursuing who you are as an individual and being part of the human puzzle is what defines our society's awarenesses together. As being part of society's knowledge, "Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure".(Williamson). Many seek comfort in believing that we are limited by all circumstances, to ensure we don't have to persevere. If one succeeds, they must live up to their expectations. If their expectations are out of reach, they will doubt themselves. We are too powerful for our own mind, yet have endless potential to be discovered. We must master our minds in order to accomplish the impossible and change "limitation" to "limitless". Society's limits shouldn't hold us back from acknowledging who we truly are inside. We must shine together, to project enlightenment for others to unconsciously join and form a powerful voice; we will be heard. They say an image is worth a thousand words; this image conveys many meanings, depending on what view you can imagine. This innocent girl strived in the darkness for too long. The time came, and she finally revealed what she was truly made of; outweighing her strengths and leaving aside her weaknesses. She lifted her hand on a lonely stage; she signified her existence and knowledge. The spotlight shone on her, for the very first time and perhaps the very last. In little time, her world paused; the girl gained strength, desire, power and tranquility. We are all powerful beyond measure, and all pauses similar to this one, define our wisdom towards our society. No matter how we appear, we must not fade. Each and every one of us deserves to seek a light at the end of the tunnel.

There is a story about a little girl who loved going to school. She woke up every morning eager to go learn new things. Her friends, however, did not like going to school. The little girl therefore hid her passion because she was afraid of what her friends might think. The quote Our Deepest Fear written by Marianne Williamson explains how people are afraid of being themselves and to use their strengths because of what others might think. This is a very underexposed reality that deserves to be heard by everyone. One of the most powerful lines in the quote goes as follows: "It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." This line is by far the most important one in the quote because it really explains what the quote is about. If you replace the words light and darkness by strengths and weaknesses respectively, you get a very powerful message. This message relates to my selected picture because when superman is not saving the world, he is disguised behind a persona known as Clark Kent. Superman disguises himself as Clark because he wants to be treated as a normal person and not some superhero who is treated differently from other people. This perfectly reflects the whole idea of the quote. People are afraid of showing who they really are because of how people would perceive them. People should not be afraid of being true to themselves. In fact, people should embrace their strengths and let others do them same. Next time you go out there, embrace who you are and encourage people to do the same. Who knows, you will probably live a happier life that way!

What is our deepest fear, Marianne Williamson once said "it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us." This quote can mean a lot, but mostly mean, that people are constantly hiding who they really are. They are scared of being judge, being different. There is more than one fear, for example being scared of insects or the incident that just happened in France. This can also connect with the global meaning is mostly doing your best, being who you really are, not hide all your potential to be like others. Some people hide who they are, to feel included being like other people. They are scared of being different but being different is not a bad thing everyone is different in there own way. For example in the quote the last sentence said if you are not who you are there are people around you that are hiding them self too, but when you show who you are others will do the same. When I think of the quote the picture that comes to my mind is a shadow. One person being in colour and other in the shadow of themselves. One people showing who they are and standing out there own way. This is a very powerful quotes but you need to look at it carefully to understand and maybe find yourself in that quote.
