How I Define Family By Samuel Vallieres

            Is a mother, father, sister and brother a normal family to you? Then why is a mother and a daughter not a family? A normal family isn't just people related by DNA, it's people that love each other and that care for each other. I believe a family is people that love each other and care for each one of them even if they are not related by DNA. They can be whether a gay couple with a kid or even a lesbian couple with a kid, they are still a family, they love each other. A normal family can also be just 2 parents that love each other, they don't need a baby to be a family, they love each other so why would they not be seen as a family? Also, a lot of people does not feel save and loved in their family so they go in a host family and there they will be loved and will create a family.

            To begin with, a family isn't just a father, a mother, a sister and a brother but it can't also be gay parents or lesbian parents with a kid, as long as they all love and care for each other they can be a normal family. If they consider themselves as a normal family then they are a family. Furthermore, "If you consider yourself as a family, then you are a family"(Brian Powell, Indiana University). Those parents were there through the life of the kid and were always on his side so they can consider this kid their own child even if they are gay or lesbian parents he will still love them because they are there since he is a baby. They will love the child and the child will love his parents forever.

            Secondly, a normal family can also be just 2 parents that love each other and can consider themselves also as a family. A family doesn't need to have a kid to be consider a normal family. "People think a normal family needs babies or kids to be a normal family"(Brian Powell, Indiana University). A lot of couples consider themselves as a family because they love each other and will always be there for each other in life. If the couple considers themselves as a family well they are one because every person that loves each other may be consider as a couple.

           Lastly, if a child runs away from his house because he doesn't feel safe or loved and goes in a host family he can also have the occasion to have a real family. A child may also have the opportunity to have a host family and be a normal family, in a host family they are not related by DNA or neither blood but at one point they will stick together and love each other for life. "If a child has not the opportunity to have a family he may still have one by a host family, in a host family their is a lot of chance that the kid will have a normal family and will love each other"(Brian Powell, Indiana University). Even if you are a couple with an animal or without you can always be a family by loving each other.

           In conclusion, a normal family isn't just a father with a mother and a sister and brother it can also be gay or lesbian couple with a kid they love and will always be there for him. It can also be a normal couple without a baby that loves each other and can consider themselves as a normal family. Lastly a family can also be a child that went in a host family because he wasn't loved or cared for and now he found a family that is loved they can become a normal family because they love each other and will always be their for each one of them. A normal family isn't just people related by DNA it's people that loves their "family" and will be their for each of one in the family.
