Cursive Writing? By Christopher Martel

Cursive writing is the base to a good and structured education. Cursive writing should be thought in elementary schools. Also  known has joined-up or longhand cursive is known all over the world.  Cursive is a writing style that is neater and quicker to write. Schools say that they're preparing their students for the next generation, but the cursive his an important step in the past! Connection to archival materials is lost when students derive away from cursive writing.
New generations wont understand their past if they cant even write or read cursive writing. Schools say that they're preparing their student for the next century! How could students be ready for the future if they don't have the base, joined-up writing. If they can't write well they can't read it neither. For example, i can't read letters from my grand-mother because she writes an old way of long hand writing.
If schools derive away from cursive it could affect the historians and museums. Connection to archival materials is lost when students turn away from cursive writing! This summer, i went on a trip with my family and we visited an old castle. there was several sculptures and antiquities, sadly all the descriptions were written in old style cursive that i was unable to read. the world is evolving yes that's true, but sometimes the old ways are better than the new or  known ones.
Cursive writing is in extinction and WE has  a population should do all that we can to keep it alive! Joined-up writing should be thought in elementary schools. schools say they're preparing for the next century. Connection to archival materials is lost when we derive away from cursive writing. When you do your signature your suppose to do it cursive like but i am not able! i assume to not be the only 14 year old boy that was not thought cursive writing! be the change you want to see in this world!
