Our Strengths Frightens Us by Melyssa Merner

As we think about our deepest fear we realize that our strengths is what frightens us most. We are scared to show the best part of our personalities and capabilites. As said in the quote from Mariane Williamson "It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us." Minimizing our strengths will serve nothing to the world. We are scared of what others think of us. People have the tendency to hide their strengths, but as we let them be shown we influence others to do the same. An image that comes to mind when I read this quote is a black and white image with one person running away from the bright side of the image representing our strengths and running into the dark side were they are in their comfort zone, were they feel safe. The global meaning of this quote is that our deepest fear is not that we are not good enough. It is our strengths not our weaknesses that most frightens us. Us minimizing our strengths serves nothing to this world. There is nothing good in going smaller. We are all meant to excel. As we let our strengths be shown we let others know that they can do the same.
