Perfect But Hidden: By Allison Grannary

Have you ever noticed how children find themselves pretty and perfect, while adults and teenagers aren't able to feel like this? We shouldn't change, we should want to stay the same. Most of us grew scared of our individual qualities is the worst thing that we could do for our society. People tend to hide their best features to fit in and to be accepted as "normal",but we do it unconsiously. Being awesome and knowing it isn't a shame. Why do we follow others path instead of making our own? The fact is that we are all unique. The line that made me think most in the quote is: "we are all meant to shine,as children do". I instantly pictured my sisters when they used to be proud of their looks and used to preform shows to the whole family. Then, they started noticing how people judge eachother and they stopped performing for the family. This probably happened as a result of their selfconciousness being more developed. We should show people to be themselves, it's the best thing to do for their loved ones and themselves.
