Is Your Money Going To The Right Place? By Neil M.

Ever been judged or bullied cause of what you wear? Just because it was blank or something out of the ordinary and not Nike or another expensive brand name. Well that's simply wrong. Brand name clothes such as Abercrombie, Ralph Lauren aren't worth the price when cheaper is available on the market. Some of these clothes are produced in sweatshop factories in Asia, whose workers are under payed hard working families (children and adults). Some brand name clothes could impact bullying,"Oh look at him with his blank shirt, not a Hollister t-shirt like me," or " He must be so poor with those no brand sneakers." Also, these companies charge too much for their items, but where is this excess amount of profit going?

Popular Clothing Brands
Firstly, where are many brand name clothes being produced? In Asia. Who are the workers? Children and their parents. Are they being well paid? No not even close. They are completely underpaid. Are the factories safe and secure to work in? No, many injuries could occur  or even worse, buildings collapse. IS there really anything to be proud of when people risk their lives, just so you can wear a 40$ t-shirt. No. But yet, most expensive brand products are produced like this. Where is all this money going?
Factory Workers

Secondly, these days, people will judge anyone for anything. Their actions, hobbies and the clothes that the wear and etc. This could cause bullying simply because one person is wearing a 40$ item is making fun of another person with a 15$ shirt.  True, wearing brand shirts makes you feel good and more confident, but that doesn't mean putting others down because of what they wear is needed. You never know, some people might not be able to afford expensive clothes, so why make their lives even tougher?

Lastly, have you ever wondered why you pay extra money for certain items when a cheaper, equivalent is available? Where does the extra cash go? Definitely not to the factory workers who made the items. A few dollars might go to the person who designed the shirt, but the rest simply goes into 1 or few men's pocket.  Not to those risking their lives to make this product, or to those in need. Nope it just goes in some man's pocket for his personal use.

Are brand name clothes really worth it? Brand name clothes such as Ralph Lauren, Hollister and Nike aren't worth the price as a cheaper equivalent is available, people work in risky areas to make these items even though they aren't close to getting well payed. It could impact bullying and the money isn't always going to the right place. Is your money going where you want it to go?
