"Robinson" by Lydia Lelievre
Differences do not matter. They are what makes every single one of us a unique individual. Since Robinson was the first Afro-American to ever play in Major League Baseball made him a very important figure in society because it ended once and for all racial segregation. However, racism did not end that easily. Robinson had to go through many racial discrimination which sometimes made him a very depress person however he never gave up. Discrimination can hurt someone's feelings very badly. No one should ever go through what Robinson went through since everybody in this world has right; to live freely and be who they truly are no matter if they are Black, White or Beige. We are not in the 60's anymore and racism is not welcome in any modern society. We, as humanity, have rights!

You're totally right! It's hard to believe that in 2013 racism and discrimination still exist! Very thoughtful reflection!
ReplyDeleteYup everybody has rights and nobody should go through what Robinson went through
ReplyDeleteI admire Jackie Robinson for confronting racism, and continuing to play baseball in the face of discrimination. I think you did an excellent job of showing that discrimination should be history.
