Importance of gaming by Shawn Blackburn

While most people find that gaming is a waste of time what they don't see is it's importance. When children or teenagers play video game it stimulates the brain and gives them something to do. While playing war games it improves the persons reflexes. Other games which include puzzles helps the child figure things out. When playing with other people over the mic it also helps with socializing and teamwork. When small kids play Pokemon or other fantasy game it brings them to have a wider imagination. Wii, ps3, Xbox, all different types of consoles that are sold all over the world, these consoles brings a kind of fun that life can't offer us.

  1. I never thought that video games could help develop our mental reflexes the same way puzzles can. Thanks for making me more aware!

  3. I completely agree with you. So many people say that video games rot your brain, but it is the complete opposite. What's worse is that people say nothing about watching television or being on facebook for hours everyday, even though it is much worse. Video games let people live their wildest dreams, but are still frowned upon, like you said.
    Sincerely, Jacob Dupuis

  4. Well said, and if I'm not mistaken, it also increases focus and hand eye coordination, and with the gaming industry so huge now, many people can even make a living off of playing games at a professional level! Such as at MLG where Call of Duty, Halo, Starcraft, and League of Legends tournaments are held with a prize pool. Some people even get Visas to fly oversees to participate in these tournaments
